Chilterns : Wendover Woods Circular Trail - Winter Day Hike

1/15/2020

Mand & I loved this trail, despite the weather! This 7 mile circular route follows the Ridgeway for a stretch before winding through Wendover Woods. We parked at Wendover train station (a heads up - it cost £8 to park.. so might be worth looking to park elsewhere)

Chilterns : Rainy Wild Camping in the Woods with BobDog

3/9/2019

Our third night out together - but our first rainy night! Bob loved carrying his own gear for the first time and he settled lovely :) we had a 5 mile hike through the woods (the Chilterns), a cosy night in the tent in a nice sheltered area, and another 2 miles of wandering back to the car in the morning. It got down to 3 degrees in the early hours but we kept pretty snug. Feel like we're starting to get in the swing of it, great night, Bob!

Dartmoor : Hike out to Yes Tor with Little Man

10/21/2017

Dartmoor was bleak and beautiful for us for this hike to Yes Tor - such a thick fog came down, that we had to navigate off the moor with map, compass & GPS.
