No ghosts of witches (apart from myself of course, muhahaha) but I found the most gorgeous little place, with a water source! And got try out my new Mavic Mini drone (love!) and DJI gimbal. This was also my first time using my new Leviathan 900 four season sleeping bag, they'll be a separate video review coming for this - keep an eye on my YouTube channel or the Gear Reviews page on this site. Next camp I intend to try a hill camp - both previous attempts on a hill have been either a partial fail or a complete fail, so it's time to push out of my comfort zone and try again! Hopefully some colder temperatures coming soon too so I can really get the most about of my winter gear. See you soon :D Claire TRIP GEAR LIST

This was so much fun! An 18 mile hike on the Ridgeway Link Trail from Dunstable Downs to Ivinghoe Beacon and back again, with an overnight stop off in the woods for a wild camp. Storm Alex kindly stopped raining for me to pitch my tent, which was an unexpected bonus! Gear List

This route is the Ridgeway Link, which links the end of the Ridgeway at Ivinghoe Beacon, to Dunstable Downs. We wild camped for the night along the Ridgeway, it was colder than expected! Our third night out together - but our first rainy night! Bob loved carrying his own gear for the first time and he settled lovely :) we had a 5 mile hike through the woods (the Chilterns), a cosy night in the tent in a nice sheltered area, and another 2 miles of wandering back to the car in the morning. It got down to 3 degrees in the early hours but we kept pretty snug. Feel like we're starting to get in the swing of it, great night, Bob! |
